minimum word limit?

why is there a minimum word limit in posts?
it is very annoying in the 'ever lasting thread' and other posts

any1 else feel that way?

Granted that I'm not Depp and I cannot speak for him but my guess is it relates to the reputation points.

I was sick of one word replies being posted by people.

Posts like...
"Cool" and "Good Job"
do nothing to contribute to the discussion

I was not aware it was causing problems in the three word thread. I'll see if I can do something.
