seems like the spacesuit thing is going to be this season's BIG HAMFISTED STORY ARC that they love doing so much. strange to introduce in a two-parter and then not resolve it (is a standalone one, sure, but in a two-parter you expect the major things to be wrapped up... it's fine, just surprising) but i'm glad they're trying something different instead of another 'subtle' bad wolf-type thing

It's 'awkward' because the opening two-parter is actually a three-parter.

Seems the eye patch lady is going to be the running mystery of this series. Every time I see her, I think of Aunt Lily from Pushing Daisies.

yeah i wasn't a fan of the pirate ep either too rushing and a bit silly in places like we need another Amy really loves Rory scene [last year she wasn't even sure if rory was the one so the guy clearly has made good on her to be worth a large long crying fit]

also the happy ending i don't like yay the pirates are all alive to sail into space and be happy forever you know even though the fact the kid has to die can't leave the ship and such that's more a personal thing with me but i find that kind of ending stupid and insulting

i don't much like the Doctor leaving the main story and going off doing something silly but i guess they have to stick to the idea of him always running away still not the best and you feel yourself hating the doctor a little for ignoring the clear danger

still 4th ep coming up we have been told it's maybe the weirdest doctor who story ever written by a guy who wrote one of the epic Sherlock stories last year so hoping that will be a good one

Brilliant, so many links back to previous doctors, sort of explaining what the rift is and a lot of quick witty lines. The old console room i felt was a bit of a let down as i expected something more from it. overall though 10/10

The Flesh are creepy. o.o And Rory actually stood up for himself rather than being a sheep to Amy. ^.^ But yeah, all the excitement is going to be in the next episode. Most of this was build up.

Well there was a certain predicament which will be interesting but Rory grew up? Why so sudden? didn't make sense. 5/10 it really sucked for new material.

Have you ever had a dream where you slept with the Doctor?

The Seventh Doctor kept chasing me around the bed naked with his umbrella. I woke up very freaked out. He is not the Doctor I would have chosen to sleep with. I guess my subconscious disagrees.

yeah i thought pretty much the same, You could forgive him standing for 9-10 but he has stood and regenerated the same way about four times now? I thought the point of a regeneration was to show that every timelords cycle body was different.
