I would say there is not very much that they don't control.

I think I need to elaborate a little on this.
I have a very strict mother who hardly let me go to parties and also I'm very introverted. This combination made sure that I always had very few friends.
And while exploring my sexuality / kinks I neglected most of this few friends that they moved on. So there are not many people who I could meet but this means that there are not many people could find out what life I really live.
