A dare for those who visit their parents for Christmas
First of all: Especially if neither you nor your parents have already survived Covid: Please just don't or at the very least wear a mask.
In any case, the actual dare: Make a backup of all your data, safe it on a drive (preferably an SSD as HDDs are prone to getting seriously damaged if they get accelerated too much, for example during transport in a backpack) and leave it with your parents. Ideally you should encrypt it, but only if you are certain that you can in any case remember the password for the entirety of next year. Sorry if this is not the style of dare that you may have expected, but I'm happy to wait until you are thankful for doing it anyways.Otherwise there is the good old saying of: “No backup? No pity!”
