In America, most bathrooms have toilet seat covers that are awesome and sanitary :P
In China, the bathrooms are really fucking nasty as most people dont get the concept of peeing IN the toilet >.> then I throw toilet paper into the toilet (to minimize the splashing) clean the seats as well as possible (just in case i loose my balance) and then hover :P

First.. I wipe the seat.. then I cover it in toilet paper.. and then I sit down. I only use public toilets if I really, really cannot hold it back.

I've never.. Never used a public toilet. :| And if I 'have' to, I would wipe it properly and just sit. Gotta be a very extreme condition though >.>
