Yes, you got it. I heard about the The Riddle of the Sphinx before in middle school or high school, but also heard it in a game of Mind Trap when I was a teenager. I just reformatted it so it wouldn't be easy to google for those who didn't know the answer already.

But let's stop being cryptic for a moment those who still don't know Runesmith...

The answer? "A man." As a baby, a human goes about on all fours ("four legs in the morning"; morning = childhood), until he learns to walk, which he does so well into adulthood ("two legs in the afternoon"; afternoon = adulthood), until old age requires him to use a cane to support himself ("three legs in the evening", evening = old age), finally he dies ("no legs at night", night = death).

You're inside a house hallway, behind the door that enters the garage. There are three switches before you enter that correlate with three lights on the ceiling. Only one of them works, but two are dead. You can flip any switch, but you have to turn it off before entering the garage. You can only flip on and off for a total of three times.
