but if you do I would work on a couple of things, the first is progression, add detail, what was the story Jake made up? How did Scott meet Tim, a little back story on Tim Jake and Cindy would have been appreciated. This will help the story not feel quite so rushed. At the end of the story does Jake help Cindy bust your balls? If not, does he know she's doing that with you? If so, is he cool with it?

If this is a nonfiction story, my hat's off to you sir, if it isn't, I'd say the next chapter should be about an encounter with Cindy (possibly Jake too, maybe he walks in on the pair of them and gets a little revenge against Scott or Cindy or both.) (Obviously this doesn't have to be what happens, it just seems like a logical progression given the ending to the first segment.)
