Door locks?

There's a lock to the door in my suite, here at school. I wish I had one on my bedroom door at home though.

i have a sort of latch lock that can be opened from the outside it just takes a few seconds lol

I have one and I use it most every night because I sleep in the nuuuuuude. The door I never remember to lock is the sliding glass door that's also in my room that leads to the outside. Haha.

Yeah, I've always had a lock.

I had been renting a house, that I lived in with a friend of mine and my mother. Since it was a rental, I couldn't install a lock on the bedroom door. However, it was an older house, with the old fashioned warded lever locks on the doors. I happen to collect keys for those, AND happened to have a copy of the key that matched the locks in the house.

Anyway, I had a girl staying with me for a few weeks last summer, and the morning (well, nowhere near morning, but when we woke up.) after a night of unusually hard partying, we were goofing around, she was still a little drunk, when she suddenly realized that she needed to pee, and rushed for the door. Thankfully, I had locked it, as I could hear my mother was in the living room, which was in view of the hallway where my bedroom door and bathroom doors were, and my friend wasn't dressed. Not only did the lock stop her, but when she saw what kind of key was in the lock, she got so distracted by it, that she nearly forgot she had to use the bathroom. At least it slowed her down enough for me to get some clothes on her, before she walked out in front of my mother.

My webcam also happened to be on at the time, and we had loads of laughs, watching and re-watching her reaction to the lock and key.

I also have a lock on the bedroom door in my current place, but I really don't understand it's purpose. My current place is a two-room, single bedroom apartment. Who would you need to lock out of the bedroom? I can understand desire for a lock on the bathroom door, but the bedroom door of a single bedroom apartment?

dont have one, wanted one for ages but never get round to it...definitely makes doing dares that extra bit more challenging though! so many times ive been doing somethign, and heard someone walk by my room and literally praying they dont open the door. Had quite a few very close calls though

So you do the one that hides you from people in the house but not the one that stops the randoms from climbing in your room while you sleep? smart one missus!

I don't have a lock on my bedroom door - but I do lock the door to outside at night, it just seems like a smart thing to do if you want to keep your tv in your house?!
