My Flower

I'm an avid writer. I love writing, drawing, sketching, anything with a pen or a pencil really! Anyway, I use to have this journal that I had since my junior year in High School. That journal was my entire imagination composed into writing, it contained my sketches, drawings, poems, innermost thoughts, stories, and recollections. The journal was the life of me and it never left my side. Days ago, I lost that journal and I had a meltdown searching for it but it came to no prevail. It is gone forever. Sammie has bought me a new journal to write in. Since all my other works of art were lost in the journal, I thought I'd share a few things I write in the new journal periodically. Here is a poem I wrote a few nights ago, I was having trouble sleeping and I decided to put my thoughts to paper as I watched Sammie sleep. Hope you all like it. It's my first poem that I've actually shared with people other than my sister.
My Flower
I stood in a field with vibrant flowers
Nature had made a rainbow so beautiful but this girl
Nature had made a girl so beautiful and her smile was overwhelming
She was magnificent and her soft palms graced the wild flower petals
I think the flowers grew better with her presence
If I was a sunflower I would face her
The Goddess of Love and the Goddess of Nature were torturing me
"Find the perfect flower" I thought
So I sought but sadly none seemed to be perfect enough for this beautiful girl
Red? Purple? Green? Yellow?
No
She was her own flower and she was the perfect one
But you can't give someone them self

I know how that is. I've lost a lot of my artwork when I was sixteen and a few writings here and there. But there are plenty of new pages to fill! You know what you have done and what you are capable of! Much more! Endless possibilities
Don't dwell on the past, create anew!
