One equation gives a sum and the other gives a product.

As far as math is concerned, those equations are equivalent 4x3=6+6 .

Look, one man has 12 pieces of gold plus three other people who have zero (1x12+3x0). That's a view of not fair, because people tend to say that it would be fair if that one man gave his gold equally among the people, so that 4 men each have 3 pieces of Gold. This is why fair and equal are commonly mistaken as meaning the same thing. However, Let me say this that one man, has a daughter who's sick and there's a cure for her illness for 12 pieces of gold and the 3 other men had 12 pieces each but they bought medicine for themselves already. Then, the man with the 12 pieces is has a "morally fair" reason to not split his money, so that it's equal. This would be and example where fair is not equal.

People don't want fair rights, they want rights that help them and not others. Business companies in particular have this view. However this is not always a bad thing, one of the greatest things a person can give another is absolutely never fair, is Grace. Grace is contrary to what the person should deserve, and is beneficial to that person.

Which is why we want to be aware of what people actually mean, and be clear in our definitions and words..

Yet again you're not taking into account all of the information. The company that sells the medicine is not treating people fairly, they are letting human beings suffer to protect their profits. If its not equal it's not fair. Also, why did the man have no money to buy the medicine? If he spent it all on himself then the situation is not morally fair. Each time you are taking into account only parts of the information.

I understand the point you are trying to make is not against gay marriage but your point would justify liars and tricksters convincing people to be against things. If people say they want equality and they meant it in the sense that you are saying they are liars.

Maybe I picked a bad example, 1+11 is equal to 6+6 but they are not identical.

Which brings us to the observation that in laws, in culture and in word definitions, people won't be satisfied and will want more or something else. I heard nothing against Grace though.

women and men should have the same rights, right?

meaning they get the same, can do the same, but shouldnt that mean that they have to do the same things at the job?

for example if your job requires you to have a certain sport lvl

run 3km in 13min why may women take 18:30 then

this is not like a school grade but a necessity for the job you are doing

or if they have to march women may stop after 25km men have to do 30 (for the same job with the same qualification needed)


or the equal opportunities officer may only be voted by women but in theory would be responsible for both men and women where they practically always care about women only


or a nice example of a stupid summer whole discussion

now the green light for the walking citizens should not only show the like a centary old green men, no now there should be females shown there with a skirt too

Yes it should mean they have to reach the same levels and anything other than that is not equality.

I'll go to your example of the baseball game and the boxes. The way equality can be seen, can be seen from two sides of the same coin. How so? Well like this.

Equal rights can be seen as either:

They should both have the same boxes so that they are equal in what they receive.

OR

They should both have an equal chance to see over the wall.

Neither is the best view nor is it the right view. They both have an equal way of being dealt with and depending on the person who claims a certain way will always think their way is best or right.

If you want to make both of those people happy. Give them both a 3 meter tall box and let it be.
