If you didn't give details about the last question well then give them now. Samhuinn is the pagan festival of the new year, when the veil between this world and the other world is thinnest. The Ancient People used to wear a disguise to prevent spirits who wished them harm recognising them, hence the custom of guising. The festival was corrupted by Christians who sought to discredit the ways of the Old Gods as is their way, proven many times throughout history.

I wont deny that this is wrong. I have done research on the subject and came up with the same result. It was actually why I never celebrated Halloween for my whole life. As I got older though I realized the holiday isn't really related why it was created in the first place. Plus I don't believe in evil spirits so I am definitely celebrating this year.
