A) a referbished N65 for me where I can get it is about $50 (comes with 1 controller and cables to get it running) games price varie because remember some games are worth more than others. a second controller I can buy for prob $10 as well.

really depends on the games too that affect cost. I know Super Mario RPG is a very rare one and I have seen it sell for up to $75. Mario Kart is a hard one to come by so that could have a price tag. Harvest Moon I think like 500,000 copies were made before that what was it mud slide years ago that took out the factory in japan that made the games?

To have a fully functional N64 is well worth the money in my opinion, but you may want to shop around a little. I'm pretty sure you can get one much cheaper than that on eBay or something. Unless it's really old (as in a hundred plus years,) technology generally doesn't retain/increase its price with age. Lest it's an actual arcade machine or something.

Though, while you could technically emulate the games on almost any PC now, there's nothing quite like playing it as it was intended to be played. Poseidon pitchfork controller and all.

I loved the N64 (hated the controllers!), and you should be able to get things much cheaper than $200.

One thing that Nintendo has over most gaming systems is durability. I've gone through PSX's, PS2's (my personal favourite) and others, while Nintendo products just keep going. Getting one is still a good move, especally with the games mentioned.

Good luck!

Don't look online its all gonna be over priced. You gotta check out places like flea markets and second hand game stores. I bought an N64 plus 1 controller for $40 a year ago, so i would say 200 is way too much.
Mariokart is hard to find though, u won't pay less than 20 for a copy of mariokart

There is a store in the town where I live that sells almost all the old school consoles and games. I get a raging nerd-boner every time I walk in and see all of them up on the wall in their original boxes. I will agree with the popular opinion that $200 is too expensive and overpriced.

This is WRONG.

You can play GameCube games on the Wii, and there are slots for GameCube controllers and memory cards.

If you want to play Nintendo 64 games, you have to buy them through the E-shop and have a classic controller as well.

Super Mario RPG is on the Super Nintendo. The RPG you're thinking of is Paper Mario. They are definitely two different types of video game RPGs, and you don't want to confuse the two of them.
