If I'm honest here. Well done for those standing up and trying to do something 'right' and all but.. there are more problems in the world to worry about.. and proteSt about. Okay this will effect some groups of people but over all its not going to effect masses. You know there are dying ppeople in the world? People getting horribly tortured on a day to day bases..
If anyone should be protesting about porn they should be protesting and fighting for those who are forced into the porn industry..

Shibari, while I respect your opinion and completely agree that there are bigger problems, (and the one that you mention is a huge problem) I think that standing up against any wrong is good. In this case, this topic is currently in the news so a protest now will be more effective than one at another time at drawing attention to this particular issue. If we pick and choose what wrongs to stand up against based on a priority list, we'll pass up many opportunities to make the world a better place.

The ill defined socialism strikes again. In the age of social welfare system being drained by massive abuse of it, at the brink of recession the ever vigilant government finds what's important to protect the people from their own freedom.

I say they are probing the ground. First certain content gets banned "for public safety"(what a crap) and once the technology has been tested it's used to start a full blown censorship. It's difficult to press "we want to censor what you watch" but when they dress it up nicely in "we want to protect the children from harmful influence" those who see that it is wrong, are marked as enemy of a decent society.

I completely agree with you problems such as poverty across the world are far more important but it's just the principle, a government should never suppress people, if it is doing anything that limits our free will then its absolutely pointless. The point of a government is to work in our interests, we pay taxes to sustain them and they act in the interests of just a few. I think the problem is in the UK the majority of politicians are Eton schoolboys protecting what they beleive is right. To become a politician in the UK you need to spend at least two years where you are unemployed, this leads to a large number of people from a rich, often conservative background. They seem to think that their job is to keep us in line. If you think about it, we're paying them, they work for us.

Yes you do, to get a degree that will be deemed good enough you will have to be able to pay for a very expensive course that will leave you with no time to earn enough money. The only people who can do this are rose from a rich background.

Also if you read into it the reasons for these bans are apparently because it may encourage people to imitate the actions in the videos. In other words they want to discourage things like face sitting female ejaculation, anything that they seem to find inappropriate. It really upsets me that politicians seem to think of themselves as experts in what is good for people, if I want to engage in a legal sexual act I will I don't want some snobs who live off of others work telling me what's right and what's wrong.
