Certain forms of porn banned in UK, protest coming.

If I'm honest here. Well done for those standing up and trying to do something 'right' and all but.. Athere are more problems in the world to worry about.. and proteSt about. Okay this will effect some groups of people but over all its not going to effect masses. You know there are dying ppeople in the world? People getting horribly tortured on a day to day bases..
BIf anyone should be protesting about porn they should be protesting and fighting for those who are forced into the porn industry..

Point A implies that people are protesting about the wrong thing - that's your opinion to which you are perfectly entitled. I'm just saying that protest makes sense, when it can actually acomplish something - and protesting people dying or being tortured won't accomplish anything. There are many humanitarian organisations that have been fighting for improvement for decades in those areas. It's actions that make change here, not protests. Protests are a way of pressing the government or other authorities(union strikes vs employers organisations)

I referred to section B of what you said. I don't question the point that anyone should under no circumstances be forced to work in any industry and surely not porn industry, but please... Don't tell the people what they should be protesting and about what they should not. This thread is about the idea by some people in the UK to ban certain types of pornography. If there is someone who missed the point of the discussion it was you in that case.

Personally I think it is a bit rude to tell others that what they want to protest about is little and meaningless - and that's how your post appears and saying "Don't complain - there are worse things". I do not have any statistics at hand about about the amount of people forced into the porn industry, but this produces proof in the form of record, and there is a surplus of willing actors. If you want to look at the humanitarian aspect, please take a look at the amount of people smuggled from poor countries to Western Europe and end up as slaves in a brothel.

500 people are wanting there percious wank material back so they get so so so stroppy and protest about it. (Even though that wont make a difference, you know they have been planning this for a while? I rarely view porn. I oppose this because its a government trying to determine a moral code for its people. Its based on archaic anti-hedonistic standards that suggest that sex for fun is a bad thing. Its also sexist. Shibari - for your information - I don't live in UK and don't care much about your legislation as it has no influence over me. You have completely missed my point now.
I am not rambling - I merely say it's quite rude to tell people their protest is worthless. And as I see it, their protest is about government enacting stupid and unfair laws in the name "of their own safety". I don't know how many people will move their arses from the chimney and do the protest - as long as some do, it's a sign to the government that there are some that don't like it. It's in fact extremely sad if it's really only 500 people, because I assure you that being as straight as a laser beam, I'd still go protest against for instance ban on gay porn - because there are people who like it and it would be unjustified restriction on their freedom.
I dare to say I know quite a bit about IT technology and believe me - I've beaten the silly blockades placed by my ISP, I've beaten country locks (not available in your country stuff) and I don't even consider my skills that high in comparison to possibilities. What you fail to see is that the government tries to be more moral then the Pope himself and more pure then Mary The Virgin. You missed my point and now try to attack me based on "fapping materials" as you pictureously called it and that "I just want it back". As i said, UK regulations don't touch me and can't take anything from me. I come from a county that really got hit by censorship at some point in time and whenever any government tries to say they want to protect me from bad influence, I think the just want to take part of peoples freedom away.
