Hey everyone, so I had a question for those who engage in self-bondage. What do you typically use? If you use rope, what kind and where would you buy it? I'm interested in trying something light, so any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Duct tape has always been easiest for me. Not super easy to get out of, but possible and safe. That way, I know I can get them off if something comes up, but while participating in whatever activity I still feel helpless.

I usually try to get some cheaper roper from a hardware store or superstore that carries decent but strong enough rope for normal selfbondage techniques. If your looking for suspension style rope, you'll have to purchase it from either a role supplier or a sex shop with high quality rope.

First off what I used as a beginner was mostly household items. Shoelaces and ducttape basically. You can improvise a gag with a ball shaped object (2-3inches diameter) and a shoelace pretty much. You can make handcuffs of either tape or shoelaces. So that already allows you a large window of opportunity.

What I use now is basically a range of more professional tools. I own a couple of velcro cuffs as well as police style handcuffs. Have a variety of bondage rope (bought online trough erotic shops). Own a couple of different gags, a vibrator, nipple clamps, whips, weights, padlocks etc. This obviously lets me do almost anything I want to try out.

If you are planning to do some light bondage, start off by using some scenarios you can find on the boundanna website. They also include tutorials on how to set up the scenarios and how to release yourself. Other than that you might want to follow some shibari tutorials from theknottyboys on youtube. That helped me a lot on improving the looks of my selfbondage. For any other advice, feel free to contact me on either skype or a private message here.
