Well, I think quite a few of us have played "soak or strip" at various points, or a variation on it, where a series of games are played and the loser of each one is told by the winner to either take something off or get wet, with the first one naked then carrying out a (normally messy) forfeit.

Soak or Rip is a variation on that. Both players start out with three items of clothing - shirt, jeans/trousers and boxers. Games are played. To start with, the loser has to take off items of clothing. Once your opponent is down to his boxers, though, you have decisions to make - when you win a game, do you make him cover those boxers in cold water, or do you make him get out the scissors and cut a section out of them anywhere in the boxers decided by you. And where do you make him cut them? Do you go the instant exposure so you can see the effects of any more cold water, or do you go for the waistband to try and make them drop? It's an important decision, as the first person to have so little of the boxers left that they fall to the floor is the loser. As with the original game, the loser does a pre-arranged forfeit!
