I prefer fries. They are small and crunchy. Chips are too mushy and potatoey.

Be this as it may, I prefer the thicker, softer, version of the long-cut potato; typically served with fast food.

Hmmmm. Well, I guess I'd have to say chips, as long as they're cooked right. They're bleh when they're mealy. But I loooooove shoestrings (thinner fries) with melted cheese and Detroit chili on them! Nom nom nom.

This confused me because in UK or wherever they call fries "chips", but since you put fries first, I thought "chips" was the American form of crisps.. and the pictures didn't load. After looking at the pictures, I change my vote from fries to chips!

I'm going to assume you mean Crisps. If so, I put the pictures there so people who aren't familiar with our chips will know what they are.

It seems like your chips and fries is what we call over here both fries. I like the top picture of fries better than the bottom picture.

I love any variety of fries. Fast food I like fries but when im getting battered and fried fish I prefer chips.
