yea, I understand that all I am saying is thier could be a negative side to the idea thats all =)

Your negative side doesn't apply, because one wouldn't be able to delete posts of users they don't like. They would only be able to delete their own posts.

I guess if someone starts a thread debate and they disagree with others, they could delete the entire thread. Similar.

That's not really harming anything though. If someone starts a thread debate and disagrees with others, they can have the thread closed. This would just eliminate mods doing more work.

The actual negative side of all of this has already been stated, and it makes sense why things are the way they are. I can't really think of a reason why anyone should be able to delete an entire thread, except if they accidentally posted it twice. Which you can just as easily report and have a mod take care of it.

No, but it takes away freedom of speech to an extent.

If the OP disagrees with your posts, why should they be able to just delete the thread? Defeats the idea of a debate, in this example.

Nothing wrong with the current system. This is how forums work.

It's not going to happen.

If it's that important to you to be deleting all your posts, perhaps you should think before posting If there is something specific you need removing, report it with a link to the post.
