Depends on whether my friend actually did it or not. If he did it then it depends entirely on what kind of effect the mildened trouble have on my future. If he told me he didn't do it, I'd believe him and 'confess' that I did it provided the consequences are mildened. If the consequences are the same then I wouldn't save him. If I would save him, he'd do the same for me so we end up in a paradox of saving each other.

Would you hang a set of video camera's throughout your home without leaving any spot unrecorded if you get $50 for each day the cameras are recording 24/7?
