A few hints since we seem to be in a standstill. Focus on what alias said here for clue 3.

As for clue 6, the location is the key here. I feel the poppies were a bit of a red herring, pun intended

The main tower you see would be legge's mount in the outer ward of the tower of London, and the picture would be made from the pedestrian walk near the moat.
But not seeing any location names near it that have 12 letters in them.

Let's see if any are correct, I hope that I'm at least thinking in the right direction now.

No guesses are correct. The Tower of London itself is your clue here (I didn't focus on obscure details).
