ok, so it's established the movie is Pan's Labyrinth... but what about the last part?!?!
I haven't seen the movie and it's not currently on netflix or amazon prime so I can't really watch it to figure out what scene it's referring to nor the inspiration behind it. Closest thing I could come up with just from googling and guessing is the painting by Goya called "Saturn Devouring His Son" (sun, a character known for eating people, etc....) pretty sure that isn't right though

A hint about clue A. Think about how the 2 images could be combined. Perhaps the image on the left is not the exact clue, but maybe something you do with that image is. You're also getting further from the answer for Clue B. nina's guess was very close. But maybe misspelled Last edited by sciencegal; 01-06-2018 at 07:25 PM. Reason: added hint |

Screw it, Goya is the answer!!!
I kept thinking it was his painting but the answer is Goya himself

We have a winner. It seems that maybe there aren't as many art fans here as I thought... Francisco Goya, one of the great Spanish artists, painted a haunting painting directly in his house (over an existing painting). "Saturn Devouring His Son" depicts the titan Cronus eating one of his children. The pale man is shown as eating children in the movie. Anyway, the clues were: A. Saturn (you sit on a bench, hence Sat and the picture on the right is an urn). B. Son (which is why nina was so close) C. Black painting (this painting was painted during Goya's black painting phase) D. Cannibal (Hannibal's nickname is Hannibal the Cannibal) E. Romantic (because Goya is a romantic painter) I am finalizing the clues for the last puzzle and will post it once complete. Possibly late tonight or sometime tomorrow morning(ish). |

Puzzle 5
Puzzle 5: This movie was based on a book and spawned a sequel years later. What are the 2 lead character’s names?
Sorry for the delay everyone, I had trouble getting these uploaded. Puzzle 5 works similar to the last puzzle. You will be answering the clues and compiling a list based on the highlighted blanks. From these blanks, you will be able to spell the 2 lead character's names. The last movie was a bit more obscure, but I have a feeling that more people will know this movie. Good luck 1. https://imgur.com/a/WcF82 |

I lock in for 2 more puzzles (thank you scguycola for warm water again!). While locked in I can masturbate only with non-dominant hand (and obv no toys or anything), and I have to at least half our a day
My first thoughts for 1,2 were river, rotate but I like sammyy's more. 3 cave I agree, but maybe has to do with the man if the reference to Mercury in 4 is for the planet. 1. SWAMP [S,W] 2. SQUARE [Q,U,E] (alt. rotate) 3. CAVE [C,E] 4. HERMES [E,E,S] (alt. planet) 5. 35 6. MESSENGER [S,N] (Hermes/Mercury was the messenger of the gods, had wing-sandals)

Alright, I'll lock in for this one and I won't cum until it's solved (this will be tricky)...
Is 6 albatross? I.e. Bird with the largest wingspan... So the letters are B and R? For 2 I'm thinking about green diamonds, maybe quartz? Though z is probably not so likely to appear in a character name... And for number 5 I'm thinking 28... Just my first instincts so far, I'll have more when I wake up tomorrow and can think properly
