Yeah, the itch does suck but I guess its just a matter of time till you get use to it.

Since I'm a bit of a perfectionist, and trimming just seems really un-even to me, I shave it all off once it gets to ~1cm long. The itching was pretty much gone by the fourth shave.

Of course I shave it completely, not just armpits and groin, but even other places. One my friend (he's a boy not even 18yo) says: "I would feel like I hadn't showered if I hadn't shaved too." And I must 110% agree!
