If sports is not Olympics. Trouble is that sometimes a few events are held far away from the main city, in order to have facilities (water, hills, etc.) but Dallas never had any part nor did Glasgow or Edinburgh or Winnipeg, and I am sure there are others. What about World Cup? I don't think so.

Winnipeg and Rio hosted the pan-american. But that would exclude all the countries that are not in America. And the world cup is by country, in several cities...

You guys aren't far off from the answer at all (well, at least part of what you're saying is correct) - but you need to figure out what you've got to do with all the information you've got.

it doesn't really make sense to put the cities in 2 columns where 1 has 18 letters and 1 has 15

so something may be up with that

Just throwing random thoughts.

Maybe cities that are capitals are more important - London, Helsinki, Brussels, Ankara, Tokyo, Edinburgh, Stockholm, Washington, Kiev, Seoul and Budapest?

Maybe the columns matter and we should find pairs?

Maybe the fact that PacifierGirl is from the UK matter cities in the British Isles have more importance, as there are much more of them? (I mean, sorry you british/irish folk, but I've never heard of Swansea and Galway before)
