Can I just double check what we think we already know because I'm confused (and slightly sleep deprived now) are the capitalised letters below the ones we are looking for, or am I VERY confused about how this puzzle works?

Documentary was my first guess too but thought it was 1 too many letters... Poor reading skills apparently

Sammy I think you might be right. And I think we (I) have been going for 10-letter words for a week or so but DOCUMENTARY looks good - and it yields a movie.

Well, I was barking up all the wrong trees there language = python. I was bouncing aroung thinking the final answer was Caligula (whose father was named Germanicus). I need sleep. Very good puzzle though.

I know we got a few more players here right at the end, but I will be talking a break from this thread for a while. I may or may not revive it in the future if there is enough interest.

Honestly, I'll be a bit sad to see this end, but I can believe it's been an immense amount of effort and it did somewhat stall near the end. I fully intended to join more, but never really had any sparks of inspiration, though I thoroughly enjoyed watching the workings out of those involved, some hugely inspired guesses and the varied knowledge bases of the contestants made for great entertainment.

Tl;Dr - thank you, sciencegal, for a brilliant way to kill time.
