The Movie Golf Game!

Can't remember where i first heard this but its not my idea.

What you do is think of two movies for example Fightclub and Star Wars The Phantom Menace then connect the two films. The idea is to see who can do it in the least amount of "strokes".

eg Fightclub starred Brad Pitt
Bradd Pitt was in Mr and Mrs Smith with Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie was in Hackers with Johnny Lee Miller
Johnny Lee Miller was in Trainspotting with Ewan McGregor
Ewan McGregor was in Star Wars The Phantom Menace

Hence 5 Strokes.

So my first challenge to all you film buffs out there is to get from Cruel Intentions to Gladiator

Russel Crowe was in Gladiator
He was also in American Gangster with Josh Brolin
Josh Brolin was in Best Laid Plans with Reese Witherspoon
Reese Witherspoon was in Cruel Intentions.

I make that 2 Strokes. (I think I'm counting strokes differently to you, I think one stroke should be each connection between films)

Actually, come to think of it I could do a Hole in One
Joaquin Phoenix was in Gladiator
Joaquin Phoenix was in Walk The Line with Reese Witherspoon
Reese Witherspoon was in Cruel Intentions.
