Now this on the other hand is a different question. I was a reasonably inactive member for well over 2 or 3 years. It took a very long time for me to actually start posting and talking to people.

In all seriousness though, I'm horrified of any insect. And yes, that ranges from spiders to cockroaches to ladybugs. I'm pathetic, sue me.

Depends on your use of the word. Are there people here that I follow and read their posts and look for when they've last been online? Of course. Are there people that I follow around my city and snoop through their garbage? No.

Eventually maybe. Technology may eventually get us there. But I think people are too occupied with personal wealth and religion and millenia old feuds to really achieve it yet.

11. Legally, yes. Technically though (at least wih non-independent films,) actors and crew are often paid an agreed upon amount by the producers or studio who hired them. The producers and the studio make their money initially from the box office (theater releases.) By this point, the studio or producer have either broke even, made a profit, or lost money (This is not often the case for independent films.) The rest comes from actual sales of the DVD/Blu-Ray (formerly VHS,) at stores. So, unless the actors/crew have agreed to only get paid if the film makes a profit, or if they agreed to a share of said profit (in lieu of an hourly payment or predetermined sum,) the only people who make money after the film has left theaters, are the people who had the money to take the potential loss in the first place (I.E. The Producers and The Studio.) Additionally,most people initially pirate films to determine if it's worth buying (because they missed it in theaters) or because they may not have the money to see or buy the film at the time it is released but want to see it for personal/social reasons. The statistics (google it) also show that the number of movies downloaded or pirated are often lower than the number of tickets and/or legitimate physical copies purchased. (Though this does not mean I support pirating movies, as I am an aspiring filmmaker, myself.)

If there were better ways to obtain books, movies, TV shows and games, there would be no need for pirating. ebooks are horribly overpriced for what they are (less than 10mb of bits and bytes) and they are all protected with terrible DRM. In Australia, there aren't many movie/TV show streaming services, and none of them have everything. Our internet is only just getting better, but that's still about 3 years away because of the government. I want a single service that I pay $20 a month for, that has every movie and tv show I would ever want to watch.
