Re-Start: Subs Share the Burden

Reposting: How this thread works.

1. What is this?

This is a list of tasks for subs to do and record against the totals assigned by doms. The objective is to complete tasks for each line. Anyone can participate by doing some or all of a task, then adding it to the amount completed.

2. How does it work / what to do / what count?

Subs decide what tasks they want to do, and how many times, and record that amount against the total. You decide (or your personal dom decides for you) what to do.

If you do tasks for other threads or dares, you can also count them for this thread - so you count it without having to repeat it. This is very useful if you are active in other threads, and can help handle large tasks in a hurry!

SAMPLE:
If a sub does 2 of each of sample tasks like this,

They repost the list those and two get get posted like:

When a whole task is done, it is celebrated at the end of the line ##COMPLETE## for a post or two, before being removed by another poster.

3. Who adds tasks?

New tasks are usually posted by doms, or the thread managers (kurious kat, Ice Maiden and MarvHarvey) trying to keep a balanced list. We usually have 20-35 tasks, but it will vary from time to time. Sometimes active subs announce they are changing to dom for a while and post some tasks, but active subs may not post tasks.

Subs who return after posting tasks do not usually do more than 20%-40% of tasks they had posted unless the task has been up for a while and is not getting much action.

4. What kinds of tasks work best?

Plain tasks that are easy to describe usually work best. Look at current and past lists for examples. These can be kinky, painful, exercise, challenges, or just things to do (like housework - naked). Sometimes there are interesting combos as long as they are not too unusual. Things that are too specific, or require an odd chain of events (for example: do 12 pushups after spending 1 hour chatting on cam wearing a tutu) do not usually do well.

Small numbers are nice so tasks get completed, but large numbers can be fun to push subs to do lots and lots. Sometimes tasks are totals (0/400 lunges) or sets (0/20 sets of 20 lunges). Be creative, but think about whether it can and will be done by subs.

If a task gets no action over a long period, thread managers will remove it.

5. Questions

Questions are usually posted to the thread, and will be answered by Marv or kurious kat, or Ice Maiden, or other veteran members, when they see them.

I don't know why not. Dogs are people too (I am not sure about cats - but I think cats would say they are not people).

There has been no interest in the task so I would say anything decided by others will count. I will re-write it a little for clarity when I post.

There hasn't been much interest, but modified to include any case of being told what to wear, it should draw a few others to help you.
