I think I'm going to step in here... I've been interested in the things surrounding the little lifestyle for some years and read up on it a lot when I first discovered it. Apart from that my actual experience is quite limited. Recently I've been dabbling with some little things on my own though and am very happy so far.

I think that saying a person has a little side / likes to act as little because they have childhood issues is silly. First of all, childhood issues is a broad term. I don't think there are many people who have had a "perfect" childhood, there are always things that could have been better or different. There are probably people who find the little lifestyle interesting because of things in their past. But certainly not every little has had a bad childhood and not everyone with a bad childhood is into the little lifestyle.

Kind of reminds me of an original Star Trek episode where says, "Everything I say is a lie. I am a liar". And the computer blows up "Does not compute!"

Astrology is not perfect for either Western or Eastern zodiac. It is a place to start, but it will never be completely 100% spot on. People love trying to place people in categories. It is easier to understand.

All people are going to be different. The environment in how they grew up. Where the parents married or divorced. Did they grow up with dad, mom, aunt, grandma, or whoever?

Jimmy Johnson, a great football coach didn't treat all of the players the same way. Each had their own story and reason playing, and their own motivations.

Some caregivers unfortunately don't realize the effect they have on littles. It's both a give and take relationship, and I apologize for your caregiver.

Yeah there are lots of "caregivers" out there that are not worth your time. It takes a while to find the right one but sooner or later you will find just the right caregiver.

This thread is lovely. I'm a Mommy Domme, though I don't actively seek out littles. I'll chip in wherever I can.

With regard to caregivers who disappear or otherwise abandon their littles, it's important to remember that behind the dynamic there are two people wanting to get fulfillment out of a relationship. A responsible adult, of course, will communicate their lack of fulfillment before leaving, but sometimes, especially on the internet, we just don't get that. We get people who feel comfortable just disappearing. So you get littles who lose their CGs and CGs who lose their littles quite easily.

It's lovely when a little loves to please, but try to remember yourself as a human being with very important needs and only try to please those who are worthy of your time. The same applies to CGs who like to spoil their little ones.
