Maybe you should check your temperature... shivering is a sign that your body tries to increase your "core temperature" over 37° C to fight against an infection...

If your body finds bacteria or a virus it will increase the temperature because this will increase the efficiency of your immune System... To do this he will "send a signal" that the temperature is to low. If the difference between the temperature your body is trying to reach is "a lot" higher than your normal temperature you are feeling cold although you are not cold and your muscles will start to shiver to produce temperature (just like when you are really freezing)...

Sounds like the flu to me, the real flu. The worst should be over in a couple of days. As my dad says with the flu "you think you're gonna die, but scared you won't" lol
Another thing that might help, cider vinegar and honey, sounds bad i know, but actually doesn't taste that bad, that with a little boiled water to melt the honey, take it as a shot. Good for alies ya. Hope you feel better soon, can you get an extension on your work if you need to?

Oy Im feeling alot better today.. Thanks to you all for your support
 I still have a sore throat and a headache. but the rest of the pain is gone. Now I'm just tired. I seriously hope it wont return though...

Hm Im feeling ok today. My throat is still sore though. it's not a flu actually. I have an infection in my throat. It was really swollen today, and it even let out some blood... :/ Nasty
I have to see the emergency doctor tomorrow so I can get treated asap.

I would suggest some menthol pills. Reading again all this thread I think everyone including me exaggerated a lot thinking of the worst. You wold be given some throat pills that the only thing you have to do is not drink/eat/smoke for a half an hour (some thing I had last week). Just in case if it seems a bit expensive for you to get to the doctor just ask about in any drugstore.

yes yes... if you can find them get some cepacol lozenges but i have only found them in canada, in the states you cant get them so i dont know about other places... they are antibacterial so they help clear up the infection... but see a doc...
if they put you on any anti biotics then it is a bacteria causeing the infection. i know this will sound sick but what colour is the flem. if it is a dirty yellow/brown then it is a bacteria |
