My name is on the longer side, so people usually shorten it with whatever they want. Kind of annoying, like, if you don't know how to say it, simply ask & I will tell you how it's pronounced & don't use ugly nicknames either.

The people I work with are terrible with names and always get me mixed up with others. I've also been name called in a sexual and non-sexual manner.

I had a Math teacher who used to teach myself, my older brother and my older cousin mixed up despite there being a 10 year age gap between the three of us. I loved it. I got in trouble for talking too much and the punishment execise was in my older brother name who was serving in Bosnia with the army at the time. So I Airmail it over to him which took over a week to arrive but was due in the next day. (The days before internet and email eh).

So the next day I explained the error to the math teacher to her and why the punishment execise will be so late. I personally though a British Army officer helping out the UN Peace Keeping Mission in the former Yugolav Republic of Bosnia had more important things to that a Math punishment execise for talking too much. So for my cheek she requested that I got kept behind from school the next day...but put my cousin's name on the form instead.

Give him a call. And he did his detention despite leaving school 18 years previous. The detention teacher pissed himself laughing. Its not often you get your best mate at school being in your detention class when you are the teacher and I got off scot free.
