The One & Only

I think my clock is haunted.
I recently moved to a new place, and there was a clock in the room.
It didn't work and I assumed it needed batteries so I bought some. When I looked it already had a battery, but then I heard it ticking. I put it back up and noticed it was an hour back, so I put it forward. Later that week I realise it's an hour back again, so I fix it again. And again. And now for the fourth time, it needs to be put an hour forward. I kind of like the clock so I don't really wanna buy a new one But is this normal for clocks? I've never had this issue before LOL It actually runs perfectly, apart from always being an hour late. |

It needs new batteries for one and maybe new gears for another. I tends to happen to clocks over time, they actually slowly start to get slower and lose their accurate tracking. If it just suddenly went from accurate to 1 hour behind in no time, then that's a more pressing issue. Otherwise it's a normal occurrence and it just needs some tuning and work.

Perhaps it has been unused for some time and the new batteries were a shock for it's little idle cogs. Don't give up on it yet, like all things that have been unused and suddenly become active it can take a little time to adjust....
