★ Belly Button Piercings.
★ Belly Button Piercings.
I was just wondering if anyone has one so I could know how much it hurt? Also, how long does it take to heal and is it hard to deal with until it does heal? Does anyone think it's a bad idea to get my belly button pierced and why? Thankies (:

I think they're hot - go for it
I wouldn't get one myself because my tummy isn't flat enough, but they look great on sexy young things like you. Just make sure you're obsessive about the cleaning rituals because they're quite prone to infection. Pain? Not sure. I had both my nipples pierced with hardly any bother, and I wouldn't imagine it hurts any more than that. Nose piercings hurt the most! |

Really? I didn't think it hurt that bad. Guess I can handle anything.
I think they (being belly button piercings) are cute.... on any size of tummy. Maybe not a massive tummy.

I like them, and probably the only thing I would really consider getting pierced. I'm not so big on the pain part of it though, and I did hear that they need to be very well taken care of for a long time... I'm just really lazy like that, that I worry about taking care of it.

My gf wants one god damn it, i hate them to be honest. there ugly and take forever to heal. My friend had her belly done. It was infected three times and this was done professionally. In the end the only reason she is letting it heal is because she was jogging, got caught on her shirt and then ripped out her peircing n most her belly.

I think it looks really great on thin girls. Looks absolutely horrible on chubby/overweight girls. Also looks bad if it's one of those huge ones with horses or something silly.
I know quite a lot of girls with belly piercings, and never heard they had any problems with infections, or anything. Maybe she just didn't clean it well enough? I think it looks silly with anything bigger than this.

I love piercings ;-)
I wouldn't have one myself, and I think they can look bad on the wrong people, but they can be so very fun... Plus, I like sucking on things, and they give you something else to jug/suck/generally play with. Was in a club the other night chatting to a girl who had just got a wrist piercing, and her mate was showing me her tongue piercing too. Yummy! My ex had quite a few... Only piercing I dislike is a nose ring... In fact, I dislike rings in general... Studs are nice though! |

Also, a belly button piercing can really help accentuate a flat stomach, which combines two things I find incredibly hot! |

At the piercing stuido you usually get some kind of pamflet with information on how to take care of it, what not to do ect. If you follow theese guidelines you'll probably heal in about 2-3 months.
It's nothing hard really, i think you have to clean it with boiled water & salt every day a few weeks after, no tight tops or troursers over it, no sunbathing, dont go swimming in pools (bacterias), i think swimming in the sea might be okay since it's salty and relatively clean, but you'll have to ask at the studio. But if you like swimming and sunbathing maybe you should wait a few months for colder weather. Obviously it hurts, but it's only pain for one or two seconds, and it's defineatly wort it . |

I'm not that accident prone, and I don't believe tummybuttons can fall off.

I've got mine done, and I had absolutely no problem with it. I think people do have the tendency to forget how much things hurt, and obviously on a site like this where you're surrounded by people who want things to hurt it may be difficult to get perspective on it.
From what happened to me the thing that hurt the most was the actual needle (wouldn't recommend a gun, although it's quicker, they are much harder to clean and more prone to infections etc) But my sister who is slightly thinner than me had a real problem with the clamp they used, because she was so skinny it really pulled. I would agree with whoever wrote that nose piercings are more painful. BECAUSE THEY ARE. But to stick to your actual questions, mine took about 4 weeks to heal, I cleaned it regularly, not manically, and it was absolutely fine. I think they look really nice on a variety of girls. Tbh, I didn't have much of a problem with it whilst it was healing. I covered it up when I was doing sports or whatever, but as long as your careful and don't have a ridiculously jangly stud, it's relatively close to your body, so not much damage can be done I would say, go for it gurrrl SB xx
