How to meet new people

Hey well im from a country town in Australia and everyone is moving off to the city this year as finished high school last year. Ive never really been the chatty type or the one to go out much. Anyway to the point where would you go to meet new people ? I dont just mean like to a bar or something for a hook either but yeah. I dont know how to further explain this and i feel like im rambling.

I think I always found my friends and acquaintances by mistake... I certainly have no idea how to go about it purposely

(Never was any good at those mistakes either....)

I find that it depends on my interests. If I get involved in groups that do my favourite things, I tend to meet people there. Meetup.com (at least in North America) is a good starting point for that...

Try the app/website MeetUp and join some groups and clubs. It ideal for people moving to cities. And there is always a club for you, its ideal for meeting new friends and you get to do some new stuff. I'm a member of both Glasgow and Edinburgh Meetups.

I found my new friends on various holidays. They were nude holidays. So my friends and I are always naked when we meet
