It has one, but it is meaningless in it self. It's kind of the idea, that whatever we do is done for various reasons, and those reasons are all meaningless and stupid eventually. Like we have sex because we are controlled by our hormones, the social pressure and our own desire to be loved and have someone to love, and those reasons are all kind of stupid in themself. (Maybe not the love one. I don't know. Blah.)

And I'm not even completely sure if that's what they meant, but that's how I interpret it. And somehow I gotta agree with it. Somehow.

Dadaism is an art form that can be used in any art, not only for poems. And essentially it is saying really, that nothing has a meaning and eventually ends in meaninglessness. Therefor pretty art has no meaning, chocolate cake has no meaning and speaking any existing language has no meaning. It kind of makes sense, in a very dark and obscure way.

In the future,

Dadaism is a genre of art that basically denies all sense and meaning to anything. With that believe dadaists create art that has no meaning in order to show how nothing has a meaning.

Yeah, but I don't think this necessarily ruins a song. I still love many songs and albums that helped me through rough times, mainly because they did so. But I also just LOVE to discover new music. It's so great how there always will be another album you haven't heard, yet will love once you hear it. :3
