Want to take it a step further

I been friends with a female friend of mine for a while but I have been getting feelings of wanting to take it a step further by being bf/gf. I do not know how to ask her. I would just say "want to be bf/gf? But I don't think that is the best thing to say.

At this point maybe you could just ask her out? Invite her do to stuff with you like go to movies, etc. If the feeling is mutual sometimes things just kinda grow naturally to that stage

Aw loke you should definitely ask her, I think you'll be fine. I remember a time when you said you couldn't even talk to girls and look at you now. You could try asking her on a date first but make sure you say date so she doesn't just think it's a friendly outing this. "I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date with me to go see a movie/get dinner/go bowling etc..."
