Part 3: The words.
The words give me
strength. Strength
to say and live and feel.
Satisfies my tongue
if elegant zest, or
bubbles over -
rides the bile
like a bomb
armed with poison.
The words make me
smile. Smile
because I can, you said
them to me. Thank you.
You thought of me,
then made those words;
that elegance, that poison.
I drink it,
I smile, drunk.
The words have me
calm. Calming
influence, embalmed
with a charming, disarming,
remarkable gaze.
The eyes dot the page
down to a T.
I recognise your words
now, I see you.
The words allow me
freedom. Freedom,
to be exact,
is an art of
defiance, of not being,
not being seen.
In our shadow
I have freedom,
it is exact.
I turn the words off.
I blink. I see them.
You're a book in my brain.
Your book is unwritten.
The words give me
strength. Strength
to say and live and feel.
Satisfies my tongue
if elegant zest, or
bubbles over -
rides the bile
like a bomb
armed with poison.
The words make me
smile. Smile
because I can, you said
them to me. Thank you.
You thought of me,
then made those words;
that elegance, that poison.
I drink it,

The words have me

*Struggles to understand*
Jeez, I wish I weren't so bad at comprehending poetry, but it seems like the tone is much happier in this one. Part 1 was sad. Part 2 was lost. Part 3 is happy.
I'm glad this story has a happy ending. And I hope you can stay happy forever, despite how unrealistic that seems. (*hopes part 4 doesn't end with a turn for the worst*)Posted 02-26-2015 at 01:05 AM by Clerisyberry
