Having only seen the movie, I can only comment on it. And I loved it. So if I love the movie, I'm gunna LOVE the books with a passion?Posted 07-28-2009 at 01:18 PM by Slenderman - Doctor -
I'm sorry! I forgot!
Hold on... the TV show sucked and the movie was pretty good? Sweet Jesus what movie were you watching?!
I admit the books are awesome (only read the restraunt at the end of the universe so far ), but the TV show is just amazing, the style of comedy is great. The movie just pisses over some of the greatest bits.
For instance, in the movie you get that absolutely piss poor start where Ford Prefect comes barrelling in on a shopping cart full of beer. That completely destroys that entire opening of having the construction manager lay in front of the bulldozer and the bulldozer tear down the house while they head to the pub etc.
I don't mind small edits to make it fit a movie format if taken from a book, but to outright destroy sections when it didn't need doing is effing ridiculous.
So yeah, put bluntly, that movie was utter gash, should never have seen the light of day, and whoever green lighted it needs shooting for being an utter prat.Posted 07-28-2009 at 01:08 PM by pranadevil -
I'm sorry! I forgot!
I LOVE the old BBC television show. It was much more alive and humorous than that dull movie that was made. Nothing beats the books or radio show but the TV show ranks up near them.Posted 07-28-2009 at 12:34 PM by depp -

Here comes treble!
Avenue Q sounds like a perfect match for you. Musical theater, sometimes sexual, sometimes uplifting, always catchy, but not TOO poppy.
For years I would have agreed with you that rap is not music, but recently I have come to understand the idea of rap as a musical genre and would love to talk with you about it. You seem like someone genuinely interested in music if you would put up a blog with such specificity, although I accept your dislike of the genre.Posted 07-20-2009 at 09:32 PM by Is Niet -

>But I believe after all that time he must have cracked under pressure.<
It's so hard not to make a joke about that.
But I don't understand. If people make jokes, people go mental. Yet it's perfectly fine for comedians to take the mick or make jokes. It's their job but so what? It's still comedy. It's not insulting. I've made jokes about Jackson, yet I still like his music and I've recently become a bit of a fan (as I didn't know him but now I've been inspired to research and read up on him). It's harmless comedy and it blows my mind sometimes when people take it the wrong way.

My copy is now next to me. I want to read it actually but I don't think I'd be able to understand any of it without reading the actual Twilight books. But I'm sure my friend will love it when she gets it xD
