Halloween is probably my favorite secular holiday. It's awesome and so much fun! Unfortunately, this year I've been invited to a costume party, and... uh... well I don't know what to wear? Should I place this decision into a truth or dare website, and expect there not to be a suggestion, "crossdress" or "come to the party naked, lol". I don't think I can, but we'll see.

Let me guess. You all pretty much think that musical theater is stuffy, passe, cliche, boring, and overall old (Imagine Guys and Dolls- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7kzsZreG0o). Well, you are wrong. There are meaningful, fun, interesting, and overall AWESOME modern, new musicals.

My favorite of these is, of course,...

This is an amazing play. It is a docu-drama, meaning like a scripted documentary. What happened was a man named Matthew Shepard (who was gay) was brutally murdered in a hate crime. A theater company from New York came and talked to them about what had happened and how they felt about it. They then used all that dialogue in this play.

Last night was the 11 years anniversary, so I saw "The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later" in which the theater company goes back and reinterviews...
