Tags awesome, g clef, music, music i like, yay!
(Shout out to Andy's A Cappella group)
Music is one of the most important things in my life. A good song often can make me rethink my life. I nearly orgasm whenever I hear the Spring Awakening song "Touch Me" (which, yes, is about sensual desire). I shiver with euphoria when I hear Don't Stop Believing.
I like so many random types of music, but in general I prefer specific songs to whole genres or time periods.
I like choral music (that is how I can nearly read music- singing in the choir at my Temple).
I like some musci fro the 60's, 70's, and 80's.
I like some (rare) pop songs.
I love songs used in musical theater.
I like many individual songs.
But, I mist say: I hate rap. (As it is not music)

Avenue Q sounds like a perfect match for you. Musical theater, sometimes sexual, sometimes uplifting, always catchy, but not TOO poppy.
For years I would have agreed with you that rap is not music, but recently I have come to understand the idea of rap as a musical genre and would love to talk with you about it. You seem like someone genuinely interested in music if you would put up a blog with such specificity, although I accept your dislike of the genre.Posted 07-20-2009 at 09:32 PM by Is Niet
