Here's one, The Jabberwocky |
Here is mine. It is a bit of low volume and I may definitely speak in a way difficult to understand. So below I put a link to the translation I've read.
The poem is "The Message of Mr Cogito", author - Zbigniew Herbert. http://vocaroo.com/i/s1PsZFoXQSdp And here is a link to the text. http://www.babelmatrix.org/works/pl/...e_of_Mr_Cogito |

I personally recommend La Belle Dame Sans Merci for my best recited piece and probably all is dark for one of the more interesting pieces I've written on there. Go forth, help yourselves. |

Sharing three poems
Poem:
Grain of sand in the beach drop of water in the sea single star in infinity cell in body, second in time, note in symphony... all build each other Can part of the whole be appreciated wholesomely? Poem: In the void-it's dark and ignorance starts and lies loneliness' heart dispersed In it there's a fog that makes one feel lost as wanderous as dust and helpless It is a land of secrets which contains unspoken thoughts and feelings restrained where self-made illusions keeps one in chains and barriers are strongly ingrained However, this abyss can be overcome shackles undone wings can be spawned one can fly into the light of dawn and make the journey Home (and lastly) Bard Tells a Seafarer's Song Have a faithful friend who's a trusty lass in my time of need on her steed there fast but on me matey, don't always sound dee horn when trouble lurks an' brewing storm for she have in her Vikings' blood and dee barbarians of old... their blood be easy to boil like a berserker's blow, so everythin' need not be told And me best is one of dee very few that I trust in on the oceans blue she be far away but her sails fly true an' me comrade's heart is a close to view A fine captain on dee open sea I believe in her She believes in me And I can say with a surety What an honor to be in such company! |
A new poem I just wrote...
A dream
a sigh a wish good night of possibilities in far off lands and different plans, dimensions in time (or without) I want to be suspended with you I guess I am suspended in hope which knows no lines which can confine its fragility, and hopes and dreams no longer seem dreary even when out of reach and not realized There are some things which will always remain in the shadows, unspoken, unshared, and unknown except in silent prayers but for once I do not despair but am revitalized forever alive because simply knowing is enough I'm sated and at peace and stare in gratitude at the horizon which is ever out of reach but where my heart can meet Wherever I stand, New horizons and lands tomorrow becomes today Right now I am okay and much more is true Who knew today a sweet dream would come true in my heart but real just the same, and faintly see the hidden majestical art of towers, paradigms, worlds, crumbling And new life emerging I sleep peacefully henceforth. Thank you. *** Audio of the poem being recited ~ https://audioboom.com/boos/4684525-m...ng-my-new-poem |
The Winter
Cold wind blows
from beyond the wall Frost glitters like diamonds The winter cometh Out in the forest The timber wolves howl Their bellies empty The winter cometh The old man struggles And breathes his last His debts unpaid The winter cometh The fair lass weeps Silver tears that freeze Left alone in the world The winter cometh They come in droves The debt collectors Demanding their silver The winter cometh Not a penny to her name No livestock to claim She sells her body The winter cometh They creep in the night The men who use her Drink the sweetness of her youth The winter cometh The silver they toss her For the use of her body Pays just the interest The winter cometh One day he will ride in Her prince on a white horse To take her away from this place And spring shall come |
New Poem again
Can you reach into the depths of my mind
and scale the heights that you will find Can you feel my desire for you Deep in the darkness Hidden from the truth Oh, I have much to learn I do what I can though I must say Just because I'm not yours to hold Doesn't mean I don't think about you every day My mind is vast My memory deep My fondness of you will always keep long after the afterthought of me fade from yours I have a collar right now it's invisible I wonder what your loving collar would feel like Some collars free and some confine; Some one more than the other But love entwines But they are valid These feelings of mine that may never see the light of day That may never speak as freely as they may Or touch upon you with my senses In this cavern of ivory I think of you, heart beats to the thoughts profuse The heights of my dreams They're all I have Because time is linear First I was seen eye to eye; mostly, though not entirely I'm quiet, but understanding And here I am now Just being breathing happy but not completely me outwardly, expressively, Yet as much as I can be honorably And I trust you to be Thank you for how you've touched me The strength you've given me How you've added to the beautiful things in life and revealed them unknowingly I keep my hands to my side and continue my journey but hopefully not alone Hopefully with a friend with hands open entwined in my own |

I feel you slipping away
Not yet gone though I have the faintest of feelings as subtle as a feather brushed delicately across skin And so I begin this song Not because I'm giving in to my doubts but to ease my qualms if it happens to take this route and life goes on Perhaps you're too busy That's how work can be Perhaps you have questions you aren't asking of that I'm guilty too whatever the root Curiosity or not wanting to offend by being too interested or being misconceived when I simply feel deeply Maybe it's just this way Not everything has to click Things can go another way other things can fit Or just shine brightly as they are and be admired like a solitary star neighbored by others If it is this way I send my blessings as you slip away sent through the cool breeze which gently kisses your cheek and plays with your hair I give you what you've given me strength multiplied silently May God bless you all your days I know you're not where you want to be now but you are on your way everything will work out I have faith in you and Him May things be better than you dreamt them to be or can conceive And joy radiate from your entirety May you be known as well as you know yourself and more May the hard times show you what you are made of and the seed of their lesson perceived And reveal who stays and who leaves who helps and who led you to believe they cared more than it seemed Who do little in your dire hour more out of obligation or guilt of doing nothing than for truly caring and wanting to And as you grow old May your loved ones still see the beauty inside your refined heart and mind and think the same outwardly And may there be those that truly care who go above and beyond when you need it and show you what true love is even in your last hours of this life Maybe my voice won't be heard Maybe another one needs to say similar words another day for it to be understood whatever the case it's all good As long as you're happy and I'm sure you will be that's comforting Maybe you're silent just to hear me sing and how, and now I've shown you, alone Bestowing the gift and grace The Muse displays and God has granted me of Art and writing I'm applying I entrust to thee wherever you will be |
The Devil's Tears
Blood was on their hands
Everyone demanded they stayed off their lands No wonder, their actions made the devil cry Yet, they still wondered why They managed to be isolated Finally, they were defeated They sat waiting for their punishment Smoothly is the opposite of how it went They were punished Banished With no where to go The fact was met with a "So?" They got what was coming They had to stop running Now they faced the consequences of their actions It certainly wasn't administered in fractions |
