(part 26)
When we reached cruising altitude, lunch was served. Lunch was turkey sandwiches, and bottled water. Not exactly a gourmet lunch!
After lunch, I was going to get up to talk to Holly and Jennifer, but after a big yawn, I felt that taking a nap was a better idea. I don’t normally sleep well on a plane, but I just couldn’t seem to keep my eyes open, and noticed that many others were yawning, or had already fallen asleep.
I must have really zonked out, because the next thing I remember is Karen standing at the front, yelling, “Wake up, sleepyheads…we’re here!” Meghan had fallen asleep with her head resting on my shoulder, and woke with a start when I stretched my arms. Judging from everyone else’s reactions, they had all been in a deep sleep as well. What exactly was in those sandwiches?!
