Why does it say the HTTPS is not secure sometimes?
The answer is simple:
Most people use links in our signatures that refer to blogposts for our likes, limits, rules, pm-dares, etc. - that of course inserts http: requests into the site. As far as I can determine the traffic is still secured! Once you open up a link within getdare, https: is immediately implemented and all traffic between the server and your computer is still encrypted. The admins have done everything right! @admins: if you really want to have the lock green on all pages, you can batch edit your database to exchange all http: with https: - that of course bares the slight risk of making some past links and embedded pictures obsolete, since still not all pages and images linked to by users even offer https on their end. Especially when pictures are embedded from sites other than getdare, and they are embedded via http: instead of https: this picture can still be viewed by someone on the same network! (The external images are propbably the single culprit of the lock not staying green on some pages) All that said: Thank you admins, for doing a great job within what is possible and not messing up anything at all! Sincerely, -Puppy
