At what age did you stop believing in santa? - Page 2

I walked out one christmas eve when I was 5 to go to the bathroom and saw my parents putting the presents under the tree. They did not see me, so I played along for many years in beleiving in him so not to ruin it for them. I think they always got a bigger kick out of Santa then I ever did.

I knew he didn't exist but I still partially believed till I was around 7/8 and found his receipt, mixed with the things my mum had bought >.> Even now I pretend I believe in him to my parents though (they do realise I don't but hey its fun). Last year was the first time I was actually awake when they snuck into my room to fill my stocking.

When I was in 3rd grade I got a naughty letter from "Santa" and pretty much everyone else got nice letters. It was a part of this Christmas class thing. At that point I was like fuck Santa and just stopped caring about Christmas altogether.

I started investigating and taking samples of the santa letters and comparing them to the writing of my parents. And then in second grade I played a trick and sent a fake letter to santa with things that I didnt want to test to see if he was real. So I had just turned 7

I remember my brother telling me Santa wasn't real when I was six or seven and I had the biggest hissy-fit! I asked my parents in hopes to clarify that he was real but they insisted he was imaginary.

I remember storming off to my room in anger and crying, telling my parents I didn't want any of their presents, I only wanted Santa's presents!

I don't remember what age, but I figure it has to be when I was real young. I probably figured it out as I am a night owl and stay up super late into the morning like I am now.

I stopped believing at around 6 or 7 I think, just because I told my friends I believed in Santa and they laughed at me and said he wasn't real. it actually broke my heart.
