Porn sites deleting content

Hey, can anybody tell me why - e.g. - xhamster and pornhub started around novemver/December 2020 to delete a lot of their content? Is there a new law in US so they have to control what is uploaded? There is almost no amateur stuff. Maybe because they don't know if the people gave their consent? But on the other hand, all the obviously non-consent stuff about actresses ("fappening") is still online.

Pornhub got rid of any account with non-verified videos because of concerns of child pornography primarily, and videos of rape

Many platforms added a verification method to have the accounts prove the models age due to the amount of CP that was out there.

A lot of the content was cross-linked or uploaded by people who did not really have "permission" to, so the major sites did a mass purge of anything they could not directly trace ownership of. With all the hubbub of "privacy" concerns, they are covering their asses. As a result, most of the remaining content is from pay sites or professional models. Reddit is about the only "free frontier" still out there until people can upload their content again.

Earlier, the Mastercard payment system banned its cards on the site. This happened after the New York Times found out that it contained videos of abuse of minors and rape. Pornhub said the new rules will be much stricter than those used by social networks. Under the new rules, only content from partners and verified members of the modeling program will remain on the site, who themselves must be participants in the uploaded videos. Millions of videos have been removed from Pornhub as a result of this decision
