please say which uni and what subject

this is mainly aimed at english students.

im starting uwe in 2 week doing biomedical science

I'm not English but I go to "uni" and am attempting to double major in English and History.

The two most useless degrees. :-O

Hopefully I'll write some hit novel or something and then it will all be worth it. ;D

I got a quick question, and if it stays away from the topic of this thread, I apologize in advance.

Why do other countries refer to college as...."I am going to University" but not "I am going to a University"? The first example always seemed be sound incorrect to my ears. Now this easily could be because I live in the U.S.

I am working on getting a degree in computer graphics.

I may well go next year, work have offered to switch me to a part time basis, and pay for a good chunk of it, so I'm not sure whether to take a temporary wage hit, and do that, or to use my ROI passport, and apply to a scottish University as a non-uk Eu citizen so I can get it for free, and take a risk in the job market
