Hmm... it should be pretty easy to pick up nylon rope from any hardware store or even some grocery stores. If you can't... I'd say that you either have to wear paperclips or something similar on your nipples at the library, or you have to have an object in your ass (ex. mini cucumber or your plug) for at least twenty minutes each day at the library.
