Take with you a complete change of clothing. On the way go to a garage for a carwash. Any passengers with you get out of the car and you get them a coffee or whatever while you drive the car into the carwash. While in there you must strip completely and change to the spare set of clothes.

Hmmm, I think they’ll get suspicious, as there’s not much of a need for the car to be washed, but I can certainly think about it!

Next time, wear your plug and try to sit on something hard like a book so that it's resting against the plug. Each bump along the way should be a pleasant surprise
