Maybe, when I got my tattoo, was back in 1980, and they didn't have laser tattoo removal back then. So once you got one, you had it for life, but now, people get tattoos knowing they can easy remove them. One thing, it's kind of crazy looking at a girl with a full sleeve.

It was on a whim when I was in college. However, I do have plans to keep expanding that particular tattoo.

No I do not have a tattoo. I am too broke right now and I am a scaredy cat. I hate needles.

With that being said, I want one. I have the design and everything. It is a dream catcher with a compass in the middle. Instead of feathers on the bottom I have a tree, a paperclip, a semi colon with a heart instead of a period, a butterfly, and a bear paw. I also have some words in cursive on the strings which these things hang. There is a ribbon on the bottom of the dream catcher with the dates that my grandparents passed away, but I might change it to their birthdates. I also have a quote form a friend that passed away in a car accident on the top of the dream catcher and a black bird off of the quote because they played black bird at her celebration of life. I want to also add to the "feather" part the birthdates of my sister, mom and dad

I think they can be fashionable, but you really should get one that you like whether for the art or that means something. For the most part it will be on you forever. You are the one that has to live with it not everyone else.

I plan on getting this as a gift for myself when I graduate for my masters. I think I want to make it so that I can add on to it, but I am not sure. I love the idea of a footprint tattoo so I might do that if I have children. I might never get a tattoo. It depends on if I talk myself out of it or not.

I am actually saving for one right now. Will get it when I finish my thesis in the end of the year. A quote by Archimedes I love and think it is meaningful given science =D "Dos moi pa sto, kai tan gan kinaso" - "Give me a place to stand, and I shall move the Earth". Still debating whether do it in latin or greek characters. And if the last I need to find someone who knows greek to be sure I didn't write it wrong lol...

It really depends on the tattoo, it can be cool or fashionable, but for me it's better if it means something for the person.

A lot. From my family both my mother has two, and my brother has a ton, and keeps pushing me to get one. Let's see, my best friends has one, I can think of two friends who have one. And three people from my research group at work...

first tattoo: twin dragons wrapped at the tail while holding an orb between them. Black and grey design with red back spikes. Orb has the symbol for the Chinese zodiac-year of the dragon. Tattoo located on upper left arm.

Second tattoo: ninja with Star of David on armband. Colored tattoo. Blue outfit with black armor. Red accents on lighted pieces. Tattoo located on left calf.
