There are a lot of great stories being posted on getDare every day, and thousands of users enjoy reading them, both members and guests. However it's often the case that stories posted aren't as polished as the authors would have liked - either though bits of spelling and grammar that the author was unsure about or just having no one to proof read and tell them if there was anything in the story that didn't make sense.

The aim of this thread is to give authors someone that can look over their new stories, whether for a quick spelling and grammar check, or to check for inconsistencies or general mistakes.

Note: All editors are volunteering their own time to help you. They may not be perfect at spelling and grammar themselves, and are only aiming to improve the quality of your posted story, not make it perfect.


You can probably expect and average turnaround time of around 5 days per 1k words, which of course may be much shorter, or longer depending on the editor's current schedule. When you find an editor you'd like to help you on your story, send them a PM politely asking for their assistance along with a brief summary of your story and what it involves.

Note that all editors reserve the right to refuse to edit any story without giving a reason. Remember these people are offering their own time for you, so be polite!
