A young man stood in the shadows, his hoodie up covering his face as he watched a couple enter a building of flats, a couple he knew so very well.

In hospital the young man had done a deal with the Grim Reaper, the Devil maybe, to give him the soul of the woman he had saved, in return he could have his back, it was not his time yet to give it up. The girl was now dead, her soul collected.

The wooden box, buried six feet into the ground did not contain the person called Richard, another body was inside the coffin. Richard had been given a second chance of life, but what life, alone unloved he thought.

The next part of the deal, the man who had caused all this would be completed soon when he hanged himself in his prison cell and his soul was also collected. Two would die so Richard could live.

Richard had been given his life back but without Jeff and Jane in it he was sad very sad, bordering on depression.

How could he just drop back into their lives, they had mourned him and were still doing so.

He could not just knock on the door or bump into them and say Hi, that was not fair to do that to them thought Richard.

How, fucking how!

A new face, but how?

Richard loved his cheeky boyish face too much to say goodbye to it.
